Charlotte
Talks with Mike Collins is a one-hour talk
show produced by WFAE 90.7fm. The program
airs live from 9-10am Monday through Friday
and is rebroadcast weekday evenings at 7.
Launched in April of 1998, Charlotte Talks
has become this region's exclusive forum for
the discussion of politics, growth, the
arts, culture, social issues, literature,
human interest, the environment and more. If
something is of interest to people in the
Charlotte region, listeners and leaders know
the topic is bound to be discussed on
Charlotte Talks.
The show is hosted by veteran Charlotte
broadcaster Mike Collins, who has been a
fixture in local radio and television since
1985. His knowledge of North and South
Carolina combined with his 30 years
experience in broadcasting has helped to
make Charlotte Talks one of this area's
favorite call-in programs.
You're invited to join the conversation
during our live broadcast at 704-926-9323 or
by E-mail at charlottetalks@wfae.org
Charlotte Talks is produced by Wendy Braatz.

There's a new book
published by the University of North Carolina Press
that chronicles the last 100 years of North Carolina's
history-- including important people, places, and
events. "The North Carolina Century", by
Howard Covington and Marion Ellis, profiles the people
who helped shape life in the state in the twentieth
century. The authors join us to talk about some of the
"Tar Heels" who made a difference in the
shaping of our state in the last 100 years on the next
Charlotte Talks with Mike Collins. Join us for the
conversation by phone at 794-926-WFAE (9323) or email
with your comments to charlottetalks@wfae.org.
